Steve Goulet, principal and co-founder of Blue Sphere, has completed the requirements for Project Management Professional (PMP) certification with the Project Management Institute.  PMI is the leading global association for the project management profession.  The PMP credential signifies that a project manager is capable of handling all aspects of a project, including the full life cycle of software development and the oversight of other project team members.  Requirements for the credential include over 4,000 hours of documented project management, and successful completion of a four hour exam.

“We strive to deliver repeatable, best practices to our customers in application development and software consulting, so the science of project management is a competency that fits Blue Sphere like a glove.  The PMP certification and credentialing process provided us with a framework to build this competency.  The Blue Sphere team now has four consultants who are fully capable of managing projects that leverage technologies within our core competencies:  Custom application development, business intelligence, SharePoint, ecommerce, e-learning, and sustainability metrics. “

Blue Sphere project managers are accountable for accomplishing key project management responsibilities, including the creation of clear and attainable project objectives.  The triple constraint for projects (cost, time, and scope) is managed by using tools and techniques that enable the project team and project manager to organize their work to meet these constraints.
